Welcome to Chestnut Class
This term (Summer 2025), our enquiry project will be:
'How can a picture be worth 1000 words?'
The saying ‘a picture is worth a thousand words’ was popularised in the 1920’s and means that a picture can convey an idea more quickly and more effectively than the written word. It may depict emotion and is open to interpretation, especially if the context is removed.
In the first 2 weeks of T6, we will finish off last term's learning. We will then continue to dig deeper into what life was like in Ancient Egypt, focussing on what Ancient Egyptians believed about life after death since this was as important to them as their life on Earth. We will also explore structures and form through clay work.
